Ayemidejor Speaks After OSU Inauguration, Says Oborevwori’s Second Term Is Assured

The Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Aviation, Hon. Austin Ayemidejor, has declared that the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the 2027 general elections is “non-negotiable,” stating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State is fully united and strategically positioned to retain power.
Ayemidejor made the statement at his Sapele residence during an interactive session with newsmen, shortly after the inauguration of the OSU Federal Constituency Political Forum, which took place two days earlier at the Sapele Local Government Council Secretariat.
According to him, the event and the growing political alignment it reflects are clear indicators of the party’s readiness for the 2027 polls.
He said the level of participation and coordination witnessed at the OSU inauguration point to the renewed confidence within the APC in Delta State, adding that the party has moved beyond internal divisions to focus on consolidation, grassroots mobilisation and governance continuity.
Ayemidejor attributed the growing unity within the party to Governor Oborevwori’s leadership approach and visible governance record across the state. He pointed to recent developments, including ongoing road construction projects, flood control and drainage interventions, environmental sanitation reforms and infrastructural upgrades in urban and riverine communities, as factors strengthening public trust in the administration.
“What we are seeing across Delta State today is the result of leadership that listens and delivers,” he said. “The APC is united because the people can see the direction of governance. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has shown commitment to development, and that is why his re-election in 2027 is not a matter for debate.”
He explained that the OSU Political Forum has emerged as a strategic platform for mobilising support across Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency, noting that its recent inauguration in Sapele further strengthened the party’s grassroots structure ahead of future elections.
Ayemidejor also commended youths and women within the APC for what he described as their loyalty and sustained engagement, stressing that their contributions remain central to the party’s success.
He described young party members as critical drivers of political awareness and mobilisation, particularly at the ward and community levels.
“Our youths have remained steadfast. They are active, vocal and committed to the party’s ideals. The APC recognises their sacrifices and will continue to ensure they are included in governance and decision making,” he said.
He further reassured party supporters that the Oborevwori administration remains committed to empowerment programmes, skills acquisition initiatives and inclusive policies aimed at improving livelihoods across the state. According to him, youth participation will be a major pillar of the party’s strategy as the 2027 elections approach.
Ayemidejor also acknowledged the role of the media, community leaders and security agencies in maintaining political stability in Delta State, noting that constructive engagement with stakeholders remains essential for sustained development and peaceful political processes.
Reflecting on the OSU inauguration, he described the turnout and organisation as a clear signal that the APC is building a broad based coalition capable of delivering electoral success.
He expressed confidence that with unity, performance driven governance and consistent grassroots engagement, the party would secure victory in 2027.
“The message from Sapele is clear,” Ayemidejor concluded. “Delta APC is united, focused and ready. We will stand firmly behind Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and ensure continuity of purposeful leadership in 2027.”
