Dafinone Celebrates Amori at 74, Hails His Contributions to Delta Politics

Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has felicitated with the Chief Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Chief Dr. Ighoyota Amori, on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as a distinguished statesman and influential Pan-Urhobo leader.

Dafinone, in a congratulatory message issued to mark Amori’s birthday, commended the former lawmaker and political strategist for his contributions to the political development and governance of Delta State over the years.

The senator described Amori’s political journey as one characterised by courage, resilience, loyalty and commitment to the growth and stability of the state.

According to him, Amori has remained a prominent force in the political development of Delta State since 1999, contributing significantly to the evolution and stabilisation of governance across successive administrations.

Dafinone noted that Amori’s years of political engagement had helped strengthen political structures, promote continuity and contribute to effective governance in the state.

He also praised the celebrant for his commitment to the unity, progress and advancement of the Urhobo Nation, noting that Amori had consistently demonstrated interest in promoting the collective aspirations of the people.

The senator said Amori’s political relevance was not based solely on longevity but also on his ability to remain engaged, accessible and responsive to the concerns and aspirations of the people.

He added that these qualities had earned the Chief Adviser a distinctive place in the political history of Delta State.
