The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has called on Deltans to strengthen unity, peace and mutual understanding as the state marks its 35th anniversary.

Dafinone, in a goodwill message to commemorate the anniversary, felicitated with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the government and people of Delta State, as well as the Urhobo people, describing the occasion as a time to appreciate the state’s journey and renew commitment to its sustainable development.

He urged Deltans to rise above ethnic, cultural and political differences, noting that the diversity of the state should be harnessed as a source of strength and collective progress.

According to him, the contributions of the various ethnic groups and communities remain essential to building a peaceful, united and prosperous Delta State.

“Delta State is one big heart and one big family. Providence did not make a mistake by bringing us together as a people,” Dafinone said.

He called on the people of the state to continue working together, supporting one another and encouraging healthy competition in ideas, enterprise and development, while placing the collective interest of Delta above narrow or sectional considerations.

The senator also commended Governor Oborevwori for his leadership and urged all Deltans to remain united in their pursuit of a better and more prosperous state.

He stressed that sustained commitment to peace, unity and progress would not only strengthen Delta State but also ensure a better future for generations to come.

Dafinone wished Delta State continued growth, prosperity and enduring unity as it celebrates 35 years of existence.
