Senator Ede Dafinone Celebrates Newly Inducted Urhobo Medical Doctors, Commends Their Excellence

Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the Senate, has congratulated a group of young Urhobo graduates on their successful induction as medical doctors at the University of Abuja. The induction ceremony, held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, marked a significant milestone in the lives of the new doctors as they formally joined the medical profession.
In a congratulatory message delivered on his behalf by Mrs. Oghor Okolo, the Senator described the achievement as a moment of immense pride for the Urhobo nation and Delta Central. He noted that it was inspiring to witness the young professionals attain such an important milestone and answer the noble call to serve humanity through the medical profession.
Senator Dafinone explained that the newly inducted doctors were among participants of his Meet-and-Greet engagements held in November 2024 and 2025, adding that their success reflects the immense potential of the district’s youth when provided with encouragement and opportunities to excel.
The Senator specifically congratulated the newly inducted doctors: Dr. John Oloche, Dr. Jerome Ekoh, Dr. John Agulefo, and Dr. Thompson Onojuvwevwo, praising their dedication, perseverance, and commitment throughout their years of rigorous medical training. He expressed confidence that they would make meaningful contributions to healthcare delivery and positively impact lives wherever they serve.
He also extended warm felicitations to Dr. Ejiro Mitaire-Idonor, who was inducted in November 2025, acknowledging the remarkable achievement and encouraging the young medical professional to uphold the highest standards of ethics, compassion, and excellence in the practice of medicine.
The Federal Lawmaker further appreciated the parents, families, mentors, guardians, and loved ones of the new doctors for their unwavering support, sacrifices, and encouragement throughout the demanding journey to becoming medical practitioners. According to him, their collective efforts played a vital role in making the success stories possible.
Senator Dafinone reaffirmed his commitment to supporting and celebrating excellence among the youth of Delta Central, stressing that education and professional development remain critical to nation-building.
