2027: Ololo Seeks Voters’ Support for Tinubu, Oborevwori, Dafinone, Others

By Endurance Ikanone
The Founder of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry Worldwide, Apostle (Dr) Daniel Ololo, has urged Nigerians to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Senator Ede Dafinone in the 2027 general elections, while also seeking voters’ support for Hon. Ramson Tega Onoyake, Hon. Perkins Umukoro and Hon. Jamani Tommy Ejiro in their respective legislative contests.
Ololo made the appeal while addressing newsmen during an interactive session at his residence in Sapele, Delta State, where he highlighted the importance of leadership, infrastructure development, economic opportunities, effective representation and youth empowerment in determining the country’s future.
The cleric, whose church is located around the Army checkpoint in Amukpe, Sapele, urged eligible voters to assess the records, policies and contributions of candidates before deciding who should occupy elective offices in 2027.
Speaking on President Tinubu, Ololo called for support for the President’s re-election bid, emphasising the importance of policies and programmes that can strengthen the economy, create employment opportunities and improve the welfare of Nigerians.
He stressed that national leadership should be assessed by its ability to deliver tangible benefits to citizens, expand opportunities for businesses, strengthen public institutions and address the challenges confronting ordinary Nigerians.
According to him, the Federal Government must continue to prioritise initiatives capable of improving access to education, supporting small businesses, creating jobs and expanding economic opportunities for young people.
Ololo maintained that Nigerians needed leadership that would translate government policies into practical improvements in their daily lives, adding that economic growth should be reflected in better living conditions for citizens.
The cleric also expressed support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election bid, pointing to infrastructure development under the state government’s MORE Agenda.
He noted that road construction and rehabilitation were important to economic activities because they connect communities, facilitate transportation and improve access to markets, schools, hospitals and other essential services.
Ololo said sustained infrastructure development was particularly important to Sapele and other commercial centres in Delta State, where road conditions significantly affect the movement of people and goods.
He urged the governor to sustain development efforts across the state and ensure that ongoing and completed projects continued to improve the welfare of residents.
The cleric equally called on voters in Delta Central Senatorial District to support Senator Ede Dafinone’s re-election bid, citing the importance of effective representation and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of constituents.
Dafinone’s reported activities include the sponsorship and support of bills relating to higher education, including proposals for the establishment of the Federal University of Agricultural Technology in Orerokpe and the Federal University of Education in Isiokolo.
He has also supported constituency interventions in education, electricity and skills acquisition, including ICT centres in schools and vocational training programmes for young people.
Ololo stressed that legislative representation should be measured by its contribution to community development, education, employment and the creation of opportunities for constituents.
He urged the senator to sustain efforts to attract development projects and promote initiatives that would benefit communities across Delta Central.
At the federal constituency level, Ololo expressed support for Hon. Ramson Tega Onoyake, the APC candidate for Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Onoyake previously served as chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council and later as Special Adviser on Youth Development to the Delta State Government.
His public service experience includes grassroots administration and youth development initiatives, which Ololo said were relevant to the challenges facing young people and communities in the federal constituency.
The cleric urged voters in Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie to consider Onoyake’s experience and support his bid to represent them in the House of Representatives.
He said the federal constituency required effective representation capable of advancing the interests of its people, attracting development opportunities and promoting programmes that would improve living standards.
Ololo also appealed to voters in Sapele Constituency I to support Hon. Perkins Umukoro, the incumbent member representing the constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Umukoro, who also serves as Chief Whip of the Assembly, has undertaken constituency empowerment initiatives. In July 2025, he provided cash grants of ₦100,000 each to 120 constituents as part of efforts to support their livelihoods and economic independence.
The cleric urged the lawmaker to sustain interventions that directly benefit residents, particularly in the areas of economic empowerment, community development and improved welfare.
He said lawmakers should remain accessible to their constituents and ensure that the benefits of democratic governance reached people at the grassroots.
Ololo further expressed support for Hon. Jamani Tommy Ejiro in the contest for Sapele Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Jamani, who has served as Delta State Commissioner for Environment, has been involved in government initiatives addressing waste management, environmental sanitation, erosion control and flood-related challenges.
During his tenure as commissioner, he also participated in efforts to advance environmental interventions under the state’s MORE Agenda, including work connected with erosion-affected communities and sustainable environmental management.
Ololo said experience in public administration and environmental management could be valuable in addressing community needs, adding that effective representation required a clear understanding of the issues affecting residents.
He urged voters in Sapele Constituency II to consider Jamani’s experience and support his candidacy in the forthcoming election.
The cleric maintained that all candidates seeking elective offices should demonstrate a commitment to accountability, public service and the welfare of the people.
He said political leaders must be prepared to listen to their constituents, identify pressing community needs and pursue practical solutions rather than rely solely on campaign promises.
Ololo also emphasised the importance of youth empowerment, vocational training and employment opportunities, describing them as necessary components of sustainable development.
He urged political leaders at the federal, state and constituency levels to work towards creating an environment in which young people could acquire relevant skills, establish businesses and contribute meaningfully to society.
According to him, continuity in governance could be beneficial where leaders had demonstrated commitment to development, but elected officials must also remain accountable and responsive to the people.
He encouraged residents of Sapele, other parts of Delta State and Nigerians generally to participate peacefully in the democratic process and make informed choices in 2027.
Ololo consequently appealed to voters to support Tinubu, Oborevwori and Dafinone in their re-election bids, while also urging them to vote for Onoyake, Umukoro and Jamani in their respective legislative contests.
He expressed hope that the forthcoming elections would produce leaders committed to improved governance, sustainable development, economic opportunities and a better future for Nigerians.
