Market women reportedly benefited from the distribution of aprons aimed at supporting petty traders and improving business identity within the markets. According to reports circulating within Sapele and on social media, Kogoro came across a Facebook video showing a brilliant student of Chude Girls Grammar School named Erhinyodavwe Oghenenavew, who was battling a severe ear condition requiring urgent medical attention.

The young girl’s condition reportedly touched him deeply.
Despite not holding public office, Kogoro was said to have immediately intervened by paying for her medical treatment.

Beyond that, he reportedly awarded her scholarship support and further assisted her with the sum of ₦300,000 to support her education and welfare.

For many residents, that particular intervention revealed a side of leadership rarely seen among politicians, empathy without political calculation.

Acts like these have helped shape the growing perception that Kogoro is not disconnected from the realities facing ordinary people in Sapele.
