DAFINONE CELEBRATES ORODJE OF OKPE ON 20TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY, HAILS TWO DECADES OF EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP

Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Orhue I, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), CFR, mni, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his coronation, describing the monarch’s reign as a remarkable era of peace, unity, stability and transformational leadership.
In a congratulatory message issued to commemorate the historic milestone, Senator Dafinone said the anniversary was not only a celebration of two decades on the throne but also a reflection of the monarch’s enduring commitment to the progress and development of the Okpe Kingdom and the Urhobo Nation.
Speaking on behalf of the Dafinone family, the people of Delta Central Senatorial District and the entire Urhobo Nation, the senator noted that the Orodje’s reign has been characterised by wisdom, humility, fairness and a deep sense of responsibility, qualities he said have earned the monarch widespread admiration and respect across Nigeria.
According to Senator Dafinone, the peaceful disposition and exemplary leadership of the revered traditional ruler have contributed immensely to the economic, political and socio-cultural advancement of the Okpe Kingdom. He observed that under the monarch’s leadership, traditional institutions have been strengthened, unity among the people has been deepened, and the kingdom has continued to enjoy peace, harmony and stability.
He further stated that the Orodje has consistently provided fatherly guidance to his subjects while promoting initiatives that have enhanced the prestige and influence of the kingdom both within and beyond Delta State.
The lawmaker described the monarch’s 20-year reign as a shining example of purposeful traditional leadership dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Okpe people while embracing development and progress.
“As Your Majesty celebrates this historic anniversary, we join countless sons and daughters of Okpe Kingdom, the Urhobo Nation and well-wishers across Nigeria in thanking Almighty God for preserving and blessing your reign,” the senator said.
Senator Dafinone prayed for God’s continued grace upon the monarch, asking the Almighty to bless him with good health, divine wisdom, strength and many more fruitful years on the throne.
He expressed confidence that the Orodje would continue to provide inspiring leadership that would sustain peace, justice, unity and development across the kingdom for generations to come.
The senator concluded by congratulating the royal father on the memorable occasion, wishing him continued success as he leads the Okpe Kingdom with compassion, dignity and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
