Dafinone Mobilises APC Leaders, Woos Stakeholders Ahead of 2027 Poll

Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, engaging leaders and executives of the All Progressives Congress in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Dafinone, who is the APC senatorial candidate for Delta Central in the 2027 election, held a strategic meeting with the party’s local government and ward executives on Monday at the Council Hall, Isiokolo.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe, JP, as well as other APC leaders and stakeholders in the area.

The engagement focused on strengthening the party at the grassroots, mobilising support for APC candidates and reviewing Dafinone’s activities and interventions in the National Assembly.

Dafinone also outlined his vision and plans for Delta Central, urging the party executives to take the APC’s programmes and message to every part of the local government ahead of the 2027 elections.

The senator said his office had facilitated various opportunities and interventions across Delta Central, including contracts, pensionable employment, empowerment initiatives and infrastructural development.

He assured constituents and stakeholders that his office remained accessible, stressing his commitment to continued engagement with party leaders and the people.

Earlier, Dafinone visited Chief Love Ojakovo, a prominent APC leader and former political ally of former Deputy President of the Senate and former APC senatorial candidate for Delta Central, Ovie Omo-Agege, at his residence.

The meeting, according to Dafinone, was aimed at promoting unity, alignment and cooperation among APC stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.

Dafinone said the discussion with Ojakovo provided an opportunity to deliberate on the future of Delta Central and ways of advancing the interests of the people.

He said, “Today, I met with Chief Love Ojakovo at his residence. We had a meaningful and engaging conversation on the future of Delta Central and the steps we must take to advance the interests of our people.

“I remain committed to listening, engaging and working with our leaders and stakeholders at all levels.”

The engagement also comes against the backdrop of previous political alignments within the Delta APC, with Ojakovo having been associated with the Omo-Agege camp in Ethiope East before the party’s primary and subsequent realignment of various political structures.

Speaking on the meeting with the APC LGA and ward executives, Dafinone said the discussions centred on effective grassroots mobilisation and strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

He appreciated the party leaders, executives and stakeholders across Ethiope East for their commitment and support, expressing optimism that a stronger APC could be built through collective efforts.

Also speaking, Ogedegbe urged the party executives to see themselves as the pillars of the APC and work collectively with the party’s leaders and stakeholders to secure victory for its candidates in 2027.

He stressed the need for unity, commitment and effective grassroots mobilisation, urging the executives to remain steadfast in strengthening the party across Ethiope East.

The meeting was attended by APC LGA Chairman, Chief Midwest Iboyetete; Chief Godwin Ogbetuor; Chief John Itebu; Chief Adelabu Bodjor; Chief Justin Oberhiri Uloho; Chief Ejemudaro Salubi; Chief Samson Anomi and ward executives, among other party leaders and stakeholders.
