Dafinone Hails Okodaso, Okodiya as Urhobo Legal Excellence Shines at Inner Bar

The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated two prominent sons of the Urhobo Nation, Jim Okodaso and Onome Okodiya, on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Dafinone described their admission into the Inner Bar as a remarkable achievement that reflects their professional excellence, intellectual distinction and commitment to the administration of justice in Nigeria.
The senator, in a congratulatory message, said the elevation of the two legal practitioners had brought honour to the Urhobo Nation, Delta State and the country’s legal profession.
He noted that their achievement was a source of pride to the people of Delta Central, adding that it reinforced the tradition of intellectual accomplishment and professional excellence for which the Urhobo people are known.
According to him, the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria represents not only a distinguished recognition of professional competence but also a call to greater responsibility in upholding the rule of law and protecting the integrity of the justice system.
Dafinone expressed confidence that Okodaso and Okodiya would continue to distinguish themselves in their professional engagements and contribute meaningfully to strengthening public confidence in the administration of justice.
He further observed that their accomplishments would inspire younger Urhobo people, particularly aspiring lawyers, to pursue excellence through diligence, discipline, integrity and dedication to their chosen professions.
The senator urged the newly elevated Senior Advocates to see their recognition as an opportunity to make even greater contributions to the legal profession and national development.
“Your accomplishments serve as an inspiration to younger generations of Urhobo professionals, demonstrating that diligence, discipline and integrity remain enduring pathways to excellence,” he said.
Dafinone, who spoke on behalf of the people of Delta Central, wished the two legal practitioners greater wisdom, strength and continued success as they take on the responsibilities associated with their new professional status.
He expressed optimism that their elevation would further strengthen the representation of Urhobo professionals at the highest levels of the Nigerian legal profession.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria rank is one of the most distinguished honours in the country’s legal profession, recognising exceptional professional achievement and contributions to the development of law and the administration of justice.
